Sister Mary Ann Bibbins Roberts was born to the union of Mary Bibbins and the late Nathaniel Bibbins in New Madrid Missouri. Mary accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized by the late Rev. Freddie H. Dunn Sr. Mary attended Honey Well public school system in Missouri and later moved to New Orleans and attended Walter L Cohen High School. She graduated with honors at Cohen High School and continued her education at University of New Orleans. Mary met and married the Love of life Shelvin Roberts to this union one son was born Pierre Roberts. Mary enjoyed reading, sewing and watching movies. She would read an entire book the same day especially when it was raining. She would sit by the window to watch the rain and read. Mary was a natural when it came to sewing; she absolutely loved making all of her clothes even her prom gown. Mary could also tell you the name of every new movie that was out. She loved going to the movies and watching movies at home. Mary leaves to cherish her memories one Son Pierre Roberts, her Mother Mary N. Bibbins, A Sister Martha B. Hartford, three brothers Paul (Karen) Bibbins, James (Shirley) Bibbins, Charles Bibbins, one God Child, Vonnie Jordan, A sister -in- law Sharon (Edward) Riley, one Brother-in-law Rodney (Elaine) Roberts and a host of aunts, uncles nieces, nephew, cousins, friend; Pastor Weathersby and the New Hope Baptist Church Family. Mary was preceded in death by her husband Shelvin Roberts and her Father Nathaniel Bibbins. Relatives and Friends of the family are all invited to attend the Funeral Service on Thursday, February 8, 2018 at 11:00am at New Hope Baptist Church 1807 Rev. John Raphael Jr. Way NOLA 70113. Rev. Jamaal Weathersby, Pastor and Officiant. Visitation will begin at 10:00am. Interment in Providence Park Cemetery in Metairie, LA.
