Mary LaCashio Roppolo, 95 years of age, of Maringouin, LA, passed away on April 11, 2021, surrounded by her family. Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 15, 2021, at from 8 a.m. to 10:45 a.m at Wesley's Funeral Home in Maringouin. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. at Immaculate Heart of Mary and the burial will follow the funeral. Mary worked as a dedicated Dispatcher for the Iberville Parish Sheriff's office for 32 years where she retired in 2013. She enjoyed cleaning and spending time with her family at the camp in Lake Verret. Mary is lovingly remembered by her sons, Nick Roppolo (Lindie) & Anthony "A.J." Roppolo (Terri), her brother Bobby Otremba (Late wife Roslind), her grandchildren Toni Catlett (Jonathan), Daphne Collins (Travis), Dallas Roppolo (Courtlyn), Kaley Straub, Justin Roppolo (Christine), Jaci Ponthieux (Jake), and Jordyn Major (Ben), nephew Robert Otremba (Brooke), many nieces and nephews, and her 15 great grandchildren (Harper Catlett, Porter Catlett, Aubrey Collins (Ivy), Brennan Oubre, Charley Collins, Ty Collins, Easton Roppolo, Bannon Roppolo, Heaven Jeansonne, Bubba Jeansonne, Anthony J Roppolo, Branagan Ponthieux, Josie Ponthieux, Benton Major, and Masyn Major). Mary is preceded in death by her husband Anthony "Tony" Roppolo, her parents Lenora Fortie and Marion Batiste LaCashio, her sisters Barbara Panza, Lena Landry, Frances Fortie, her brother B.J. LaCashio, and her in-laws Frances & Nick Roppolo Jr. The pallbearers will be Toni Catlett, Daphne Collins, Brennan Oubre, Dallas Roppolo, Justin Roppolo, Jaci Ponthieux, Jordyn Major, and Robert Otremba. The family would like to thank Pointe Coupee Hospice and all of her caregivers.
