Mary Ursula Helouin lost her valiant battle with Alzhermers on Wednesday September 12, 2018 at Ollie Steele Burden Nursing Home. She was 83 years old, born on May 20, 1935. She was a devout Catholic and spent most of her life as a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her twin sister Anne Helouin Medici, her parents Andrew and Jane Carville Helouin and her brothers and other sister, James Helouin (Nell), Dr. Carville Helouin (Bernadette), Guy Helouin, Burt Helouin, sister Joy Helouin Lefebvre (Edward) and Anne. She was a 1953 graduate of St. Joseph's Academy. She was retired from the Louisiana Department of Revenue and Baton Rouge City Parish Government. She dedicated a number of years working tirelessly for the Diocese of Baton Rouge. She is survived by her loving and devoted sister Janice Helouin Madden. She had many nephews and nieces. She was very fond of Joy's children who grew up with the family on Acadian Thruway, Louis, Rick, Andy, Paul Lefebvre and Jane Lefebvre Sledge. Visitation will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home on Saturday September 15, 2018 from 12pm until funeral services begin at 2pm. Burial will follow in Greenoaks Memorial Park Janice would like to invite family and friends in a reception of Ursula's life following services.
