Now there is in store for me, the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will reward to me on that day – and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing." 2 Timothy 4:7-8 A resident and native of Plaquemine, Mathilda Brown she passed away at 9:25 a.m. Friday, January 4, 2019, at Plaquemine Manor, at the age of 79. A memorial service will be held at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Plaquemine on Tuesday, January 15, 2019 from 10am until Rite of Christian Burial at 11am conducted by Deacon Alfred Ricard. She is survived by daughter, Sabra Brown Martinez and husband Raymond of Plaquemine; son, Brandon Brown and wife Janet Marino of St. Francisville; sister, Joyce Doucet; three brothers Abel Jr, Graylin and Carl Granger; four grandchildren, Angie King, Jessica Morin, Jonathan and Jarred Brown; three great-grandchildren, Macie and Bracely Morin, and Reginald King Jr. Preceded in death by parents, Abel and Eunice Granger; husband, Emmett "Curley" Brown; and daughter, Tracie LeJeune. She was a loving mother and Granny who enjoyed traveling, camping, Cajun music, sewing, cooking and baking. She donated her remains to the LSU School of Medicine.
