Melba T. Felder, age 87, passed away on Friday, November 10, 2017 surrounded by her loving family. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Milfred J. Felder. She is survived by her three daughters, Deborah F. Plaeger (George, III), Donna F. Genevay (Michael) and Dale F. Beler (Kenneth); grandchildren, Paul Plaeger (Jessica), Kelly G. Michot (Jeremy), Courtney Plaeger (Nicholas), Timothy Genevay (Heather), Kenneth Beler, II (Geralyn), Shannon G. Lewis (Marc), Whitney P. True (Galen), Allison Beler and Patrick Beler (Angela); great-grandchildren, Amber, Audrey and Stella Michot , London and Harper Genevay and Paul "Christian" Plaeger, II. Melba was born in New Orleans, Louisiana on March 8, 1930 to the late Charles Henry and Florence "Honey" LeRouge Thompson. After retirement, she moved to Bay St. Louis and then to Baton Rouge in 2005. She will be deeply missed by all. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home in New Orleans, Louisiana on Tuesday, November 14, 2017 at 11:00 am. Visitation will begin at 9:00 am until service time. Interment to follow in All Saints Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory can be made to a charity of your choice.
