Michael Walter Bitterolf passed away at his home in Loranger, LA on Thursday, July 5, 2018 at the age of 79. He was born on May 6, 1939 in Los Angeles, CA. Mike loved his dogs and never met a stranger. He also served our country in the United States Navy. Mike is survived by his two daughters, Lisa Cox of Kentucky and Shelly Yamin of California as well as their children; his wife, Jewel "Pat" Brown Bitterolf and his two fur babies, Molly and Leroy Jethro Gibbs. Mike is preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Marilyn Bitterolf; his son, Scott Bitterolf; and two sisters, Patricia Collorossi and Leean Bitterolf. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church for the multi-purpose room or the ASPCA. Visitation at First United Methodist Church, 800 N. Duncan Ave., Amite, LA 70422 from 9:00 AM until religious services at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, July 10, 2018. Services conducted by Rev. Brady Whitton and Rev. David Melville.
