Morris J. Rabalais, age 88, passed away on April 10, 2021 at his residence in Central, Louisiana. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He retired in 1993 from Gulf States Utilities, Willow Glen Station, after 37 years of service. He was a proud member of the United States Army and served during the Korean Conflict in Germany for 2 years. Morris enjoyed fishing, gardening, wood working, travelling, and spending time with his grandchildren. He was a long time parishoner of St. Patrick Catholic Church, and recently St. Alphonsus Catholic Church. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Elmade Francois; sons, James Brent Rabalais (Vickie), Gary Rabalais (Claire), Todd Rabalais (Kathy), and Jay Rabalais (Celeste); grandchildren, Stephanie, Kevin, Morgan, Grant, Hannah, Colin, Frances, Olivia, Grace, Sam, Paul, and James; and great grandchildren, Liam, Owen and Rosalee. He is preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Angele Rabalais; siblings Stafford, Roland, Essie, and Rhodia. Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Thursday, April 15, 2021, at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church at 11:00am. Burial to follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
