A longtime resident of Baton Rouge, Pammie passed away on Saturday, June 30, 2018 to be with her Lord and savior Jesus Christ. After a brief illness, she died at Baton Rouge General-Bluebonnet. Born in Forest Hill on May 22, 1953 she was preceded in death by her parents, Rachell and Newton Nelson. Pamela is survived by a step-father, Murrell Nelson; and other extended family members. She graduated from LSU and worked at The Fairway View, where she met many beloved friends, then in 1993 began working at the City Prosecutor's Office until retirement in 2005. Pam was an avid LSU fan, loved gardening, Halloween, St. Patrick's Day, the Kentucky Derby, her kittens, her two beloved dogs, Bert and Lucy. Visitation will be held at Rabenhorst Funeral Home, 825 Government St, on Friday, July 13, 2018 from 10:00 am until dismissal at 11:00 am. Graveside services in Roselawn Memorial Park will follow at 11:30 am conducted by Rev. Bobby Dale Callender. Special thanks to Marie, her home care nurse; to Judy Simmons, her neighbor who checked in daily for all her needs; and to Marsha B. Williams, her best friend of over 40 years. I will miss you Pammie. You were the sweetest and kindest person and always had a smile on your face. You were always a great friend to me and everyone else that were blessed to know you. We love you.

we have lost another Fairway Family Member. I and so many of her Fairway friends will miss her. We will have so many memories to share as we say good by. Rest in Peace. please help find homes for her fuzzy companions
