Patricia Davenport Hodgin, aged 66, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 4, 2019 with close family at her side. Pat was born on April 3, 1952 and raised in Derbyshire, England. She attained her BSc from Aston University and in 1972, she won a Rotary Club scholarship to attend graduate school at Washington State University where she met her husband-to-be, Clay. Having lived and worked in North Carolina and Michigan, Pat and Clay settled in Baton Rouge in 1984 to raise their son, Scott. Pat was exceptionally creative; she loved to quilt, garden, and cook for her family and friends. She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Clay Hodgin; son, Scott Hodgin (wife Katie); grandchildren, Benjamin and Ella Hodgin; her mother and father, Heather and Geoffrey Davenport; her sister, Julia Eddy (husband Martin); nieces, Laura Powell (husband Richard) and Danielle Powell (husband Alex); and great nephews Oliver and Isaac. She will be sorely missed by all her family and friends in England and here at home. Visitation is at St. Aloysius Church, Baton Rouge, on Friday, February 15, 2019 from 9:30 AM, followed by a funeral mass at 11:00 AM.
