Ricky Harkrider died on Sunday, December 16, 2012 at his home in Zachary. He was 56 years old, and a native of Tyler, TX. He was self-employed for over 30 years with Southern Emergency and Rescue Vehicle Sales. Visitation will be on Tuesday, December 18, 2012 at Charlet Funeral Home, Inc., Zachary from 6:00pm until 9:00pm. Visitation will continue at the funeral home on Wednesday, December 19, 2012 from 9:00am until 10:45 am. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00am at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Zachary. Interment will be in Masonic Cemetery, Clinton. He is survived by his wife of 16 ½ years Gina Gerage Harkrider, 3 sons; Richard Cade Harkrider, Joseph Dylan Harkrider, and Samuel Ross Harkrider, 2 sisters and 2 brothers-in-law; Marie Harkrider Pelle & husband Thomas of Kenner and Ann Harkrider Collins & husband Dwayne of Edom, TX, 2 brothers and sisters-in-law; William W. Harkrider & wife Michel of New Iberia and Steven A Harkrider & wife Marianne of Longview, TX, and FatherIn-law and mother in law, John & Mary Ann Gerage. He was preceded in death by Mr. & Mrs. William Harkrider Sr., and nephew Bryce William Harkrider. Pallbearers will be Mark Van Arnum, James Piker, August Valery, Robert Lowrie, Eddie Sparacino and Alan Ashley. He loved fishing and playing with his three boys.
