So sorry to read in the Alumni Columns about Robert. Did not know he was ill. We had many good times growing up in Natchitoches and I know you will miss him very much. As you know he graciously was my best man at Sandy's and my marriage in 1966. For 6 years after every time I turned the heater/blower on in the Corvette cooked/raw rice came out that he had placed after the wedding. It was a welcome remembrance of our friendship. Will be contributing to his fund and wish the very best for you.

Jacque, Kristin, and Cory;
It made me sad, seeing my friend, Robert, obit in today's paper. Lots of good memories from being back yard neighbors in Baton Rouge for a few years....from building speaker, tearing out the wall between your living room and den, cooking jambalya on a wood fire in your back yard, pictures, fishing, doing things with the kids, and most of all just being good neighbors and enjoying one another's company.
Jacque, our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. We love you folks!

A wonderful and talented man. So glad I had the pleasure of meeting him when I started work at NSU! We spoke often during that time and he even sent a picture of me and my wife that he took of us at one of the NSU home football games. He had a great sense of humor as well. Our prayers are with you and your family.

I am so sorry for your loss Mrs. Jacque and family. Mr. Crew was a part of my childhood as well as Sydney's. I will never see a gorilla and not think of him. I wonder if he is taking pictures of Harold up in heaven! Love, Debbie Taylor Galland.

My deepest condolences to the family of my friend Robert Crew. We had conversations, many about photography and equipment. We also discussed issues about NSU, Louisiana and the world. He was a kind and genuine man who will be missed by many and especially the NSU family.

I loved everything about you - the way you could get things done when no one else could, the way you broke the silly rules that should be broken, the way you smiled that mischievous smile, your obsession with fun cars, the love that overflowed from your heart to others, the way you took pictures, and the way you absolutely adored Jacque!! You were one true character and I mean it as the best compliment. I thought today how you and Mother are already working on some project. I bet it made their day when they saw you coming!! We will miss you dear friend but your memory lives on in our hearts!
