Roland A. Hoover, 69, passed away the morning of August 11, 2018 at his home in Walker/Denham Springs, LA. Born Oct. 6, 1948, in Holden, LA to Woodrow Wilson Hoover and Gladys Albin Hoover. He celebrated 50 years with Local #198 United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipefitting Industry of the United States in December 2017. He was a member of the Grand Lodge of the LA F.& A.M., Denham Springs #297. He was also a member of Walker Baptist Church and worked in the food pantry ministry faithfully. Visitation will be held at Walker Baptist Church, on Tuesday, Aug. 14, from 9 a.m. until service at 12 p.m. officiated by Dr. Richard Blue. Burial will follow at Plainview Baptist Cemetery. He is survived by his wife of 18 ½ years, Charleta Adcox Hoover; daughter, Sandy Hoover Eldridge and husband, Aaron; step-daughter, April Williams; step-son, Chad Mizell; three sisters, Vivian Gregoire, Daisy Hoover Howell and husband, Louis, and Robin Hoover; 8 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Roland was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother. He was preceded in death by his parents, Woodrow Wilson Hoover and Gladys Albin Hoover; brothers, Woodrow Dalton Hoover, Alton Clyde Hoover, and Aldon Alcess Hoover; and sister, Charlett Erline Hoover.
