Ruth Johnson-Muhammad Obituary

On January 7, 2021, our beloved mother and friend peacefully departed this life surrounded by loved ones in the comfort of her home. Ruth Dale Evans Johnson-Muhammad was born on September 6, 1942 to the late Herman and Johnella (Tickles) Evans in Chaneyville, LA with 10 siblings. She attended Chaneyville High then attended Southern University where she earned her degree in Food and Nutrition. She retired from EBRPSS as a school food service manager. She was a proud member of The Nation Of Islam under the leadership of Min. Louis Farrakhan. She leaves behind her children: Kozimuh (Deatreaus) Johnson, Kenio X (Danielle) Johnson, and Venio (Sean) Wallace, bonus children: Regina (Bryan) Calhoun, Louis (Stephanie) Ali, and grandchildren: Gabrielle Cooper, Tonyatta, Sadijah, and Abraham Wallace, Jalil Johnson, and Aaliyah and Mason Johnson. She also leaves behind to cherish three great-grandchildren: Tiana Wallace, David Jackson, Jr., and Jahmeir Johnson, sisters Annie Mae Harris, Bernice Major, Mary Ann Evans, Gladys Evans, sisters-in-law Victoria (Paul) Judge, Rose (Nathaniel) Stirgus, Mary (Thomas) Williams, and brothers Moses Evans, Sr., George Evans, James (Marleen) Evans. Services are entrusted to Charles Mackey Funeral Home.
