Doodie was a resident and native of Plaquemine. She passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 3, 2017 at Legacy Nursing Home in Plaquemine at the age of 94. Visitation will be on Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church from 9:00am until Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am. Interment will follow at Grace Memorial Park. She is survived by her daughter Jennifer Barbay Ourso & husband LeBoeuf; 3 grandchildren: Barry Barbay & wife Jamie, Keli Ourso Williams & husband Heath & Neil Ourso; 5 great-grandchildren: John, Baileigh & Jackson Barbay, Alex & Ally Williams; & 3 nieces she helped raise: Renie Aucoin, Audrey Landry & Kathleen "Tam" Phillips. She is preceded in death by her husband William "Jack" Barbay; Son: John A. Barbay; Parents: Joseph O. & Mary Bunch Bezet; Brothers: Theophile, Albert, John, Ernest, David, Arthur, James & Floyd Bezet; and Sisters: Blanche Navarre, Agnes Ida Seymour, & Mary Grace Pendas.
