Ruth Carolyn Smith Millin gained her Heavenly wings on Sunday, June 10, 2018, at the age of 85. She was born in Zwolle, LA, September 27, 1932. She lived in DeRidder, LA until 1953, when she married and moved to Baton Rouge, LA. Ruth loved God, her family, sewing, cooking, nature, Quarter Horses, gardening, puzzles and her bookkeeping job she had until her death. Those left behind to cherish her memories are her four daughters, Cheryl Millin Ard and husband, Frank, Stephany Millin Jackson, Nelda Millin Clouatre and husband, Chris, and Carolyn Millin Hofmann and husband, Jeffery; grandchildren, Beau Jackson and wife, Amber, Todd Jackson and wife, April, Luke Jackson and wife, Jennifer, Joel Clouatre, Jacob Clouatre and Jonathan Clouatre; great-grandchildren, River, Skye, Rain, Noah and Ian Jackson; and other family members. Ruth is preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Amalie Smith; sister, Geraldine Lee; and brother, Doy Smith. Visitation will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd., Baton Rouge, LA, on Friday, June 15, 2018, from 5:00PM to 8:00PM. Visitation will resume at Greenoaks on Saturday, June 16, 2018, from 12:00PM until the time of funeral service at 2:00PM. Burial will immediately follow at Greenoaks Memorial Park. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff of Clarity Hospice for their amazing compassion and care for our Mother.
