Samuel Freddie Comeaux Obituary
Samuel Freddie Comeaux passed away into eternal life and the tender loving arms of Jesus Christ on December 23, 2018 at Sacred Heart Hospital, Pensacola, Florida. Born and raised in Baton Rouge, Freddie lived in Destin, Florida. He was born to Author Roy and Anna Mae (Nicholas) Comeaux November 25, 1940; preceding him in death. He is survived by his caring, loving sister, Betty Comeaux LaBauve (husband Guy); brothers Charles (Chuck) Comeaux (wife Saundra), Jerry Comeaux (wife Vicky); one niece, three nephews, numerous Nicholas and Comeaux cousins, and a host of extended family-friends. He attended St. Gerard Grade School graduating from Istrouma High School in 1959. Freddie was employed in Real Estate Management for many years, retiring in 2015. Freddie lived life to the fullest never meeting a stranger. He enjoyed traveling, the company of friends, especially the "Birthday Group", joking, laughing big, using Nicknames, having an occasional cocktail, cooking and dining on fine wine and food. He faithfully read his Bible daily, practiced his strong Christian faith, shared his faith and gave to others unselfishly. A farewell memorial will be in the Resthaven Mausoleum Chapel, 11817 Jefferson Hwy, Baton Rouge, LA on Saturday, January 5, 2019 at 10:30 celebrated with Pastor Lee Shipp. Honorary pallbearers; Johnny Haydel, Jamie Kolb, Kevin Logan, Gino Marino, Lawrence Marino, and Claude Pennington. Memorial gifts may be made in his name to ALS Association Louisiana Chapter, 11725 Industriplex Blvd #3, Baton Rouge, LA 70809; the disease that affected his mother or the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank, P.O. Box 45830, Baton Rouge, LA 70895.
