Shirley "Shub" Ruevone Quick, 83, a resident of Zachary, LA and native of Edinburg, MS, went home on Saturday, December 15, 2018. She was retired from Buddy's Landscape and Garden Center after 20 years of service. Visitation will be at Charlet Funeral Home, Inc., Zachary, on Tuesday, December 18, 2018 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm with a 7:00 pm memorial service. Shirley is survived by her babies, Robbie Revone Quick and husband, Raymond Guilbeau, Jr., Phil Smith and wife Cindy Smith and Ron Smith and wife, Julie Aeschliman Smith, step-children, Ann Waddell, Carol Catlett, Bob Quick and wife Peggy Quick and Ricky Quick and wife Pam Quick, brother, Dr. Marion Sephton and wife Betty Sephton, grandchildren, Daniel Smith, Dr. Mikki Smith Bouquet and Logan Lee Guilbeau and great grandchild, Darby Renee Bouquet. She is preceded in death by her father, John Daniel Sephton, mother, Esther Elizabeth Compton and step-father, Lee Compton and husband, Robert Quick Sr. Her beloved son, Raymond Guilbeau Jr, will bring her home. She loved gardening. Special thanks to Julie Crumholt Hubert and Mike Munn.

She was the best mom in law a person could have. We loved each other and shared so much. She will be greatly missed.

My heart is broken but knowing she will not have to suffer anymore brings me comfort. I loved her dearly.
I will cherish all of my memories and most of all for the time I got to spend with her the last couple of weeks and her telling me "Julie Crumholt" go home....I am fine.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of grief. May your memories bring you comfort
