My mother gave me three beautiful sisters, Sheila, Bridget and Karen, and my Brother gave me a fourth, Shirley Mae! "Why do you always call me Shirley Mae, can't you just say Shirley?", so I tried, honestly I did but Shirley Mae just kept coming up and out, she forgave me and said it was okay for me to stop trying. Shirley and I talked almost everyday, sometimes a couple of minutes sometimes a couple of hours. We agreed to disagree many times and once we had a "misunderstanding" but we ALWAYS communicated and moved on. Shirley was a very significant person in my world, I love her dearly and I know without a doubt that she loved me. I never had to wonder what she was thinking, she always spoke her mind lovingly and deliberately. I will remember her always and miss her more, she was my Sister, Advisor, Spiritual Companion and Friend and so I say, Goodbye, until we meet again.

Our thoughts and prayers are with your family in this most difficult time. I pray that God gives you strength to get through the difficult days ahead. I had the pleasure of serving your mom for almost 15 yrs when she would call City Hall the conversation always turned to family. She will be missed.

Shirley, my cousin, my neighbor, my friend. You will never know how much I will miss you. You will be remembered for your compassion, love, care and most of all your integrity, dignity and tenacity. God never sends the winter without the joy of spring. We will not walk alone because u will be there. You kept the faith and worked to the end of this life’s journey. May you Rest In Perfect Peace and May your live ones find comfort.
