SMITH, THELMA ANGIE RILEY A retired bookkeeper with Talbot Tractor and Lemanns Farm, she died Sunday, Oct. 31, 2004, at her home in Baton Rouge. She was 77 and a native of Franklinton. Visiting was at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, Nov. 1. Visiting in the funeral home chapel from 11 a.m. until religious service at 1 p.m. Tuesday, conducted by the Rev. Ron Lowery. Interment in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Carol Smith Cox Frain and James E. Frain; sister, Avonelle Boyd; niece, Sharon Boyd; two granddaughters and grandsons-in-law, Robin Cox Gregoire and Charles Gregoire and Tina Cox Graves and Rusty Graves; and three great-grandchildren, Timothy and Sarah Gregoire and Samantha Graves. She was preceded in death by her father, Thomas Bennett Riley; mother, Wilma Ruth McElveen Riley; and grandson, Kevin E. Cox. Pallbearers will be William Gregoire, Charles Gregoire, Kelvin Johnson and James Jeansonne. Honorary pallbearer is Timothy Gregoire. She was a 1945 graduate of Franklinton High School and a graduate of Spencer Business College. She enjoyed gardening, fishing and being with family and friends. Special thanks to all of her caregivers who took such loving care of her during her illness, Dr. Jed Morris for many years of loving care and service to Mrs. Thelma and the staff and nurses of Hospice in His Care for their loving care and support.
