Thelma Joyce Poirrier DeLatte Simeon, 80, of Satsuma, LA, passed away on Saturday, July 14, 2018 at The Crossing Hospice Center. She was born November 25, 1937 in Baton Rouge, LA. She was the daughter of the late Felix and Bernice Poirrier. She was a loving mother and grandmother and always had a jingle to sing that brought joy and laughter to all around. She is survived by her two sons, Charley Rene DeLatte and wife Lorraine of Anahuac, TX, and Jimmy Simeon and wife Trish of Satsuma, LA; her two daughters, Evie Mae Stewart and husband George of Livingston, LA, and Evelyn Ramos and husband Nick of Walker, LA; sisters, Merrill Leveron of St. Amant, LA, and Gayle Lambert and husband Calvin of Brittany, LA; 13 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, as well as 6 great-great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by husband, James Dallie Simeon, and first husband Oscar Charley DeLatte; parents, Felix and Bernice Poirrier; sister, Elsie Bush; and great-grandson Solomon Lee Zellner Jr. Pallbearers will be Charley Dewayne DeLatte, Cody Harold Stewart, Nicholas James Ramos, Hunter Jordan Naquin, Beau Michael Naquin, and Caleb Gage DeLatte. Honorary Pallbearers will be Aiden Elias Griffis, Jimmie Naquin, and Payton Cody Stewart. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at Unity Prayer Center in Livingston, LA beginning at 9AM until service at 12PM conducted by Rev. Joey Mack. Burial will follow at Old Red Oak Cemetery in Livingston, LA. Funeral arrangements by Renaissance Service of Gonzales, LA.
