Geno, 88, a native of Fordoche, LA, residing in Illinois most of his life, went home to be with the Lord on May 30, 2018. In early years, Geno was a Golden Glove boxer who turned professional boxer using "Geno Tondalio". He installed terrazzo floors in Louisiana, at the O'Hara Airport, and around the Chicago area. His hobbies were building, restoring, and selling choppers and classic cars. He had a passion for working out, staying in shape, and eating healthy. He loved coming to Louisiana to visit his family and attending Mardi Gras. Theodore "Geno" Michael Thibodeaux Jr was born on March 2, 1930, in Port Arthur TX to Marie Elizabeth (Elise) Leger and Theodore Michael Thibodeaux Sr. who preceded him in death along with his children, Geno Thibodeaux and Andrew Thibodeaux: and siblings, Joseph (Jim) Thibodeaux, Edith Spires, Charles Thibodeaux, Elise Johnson Mire, and Mary Carstens; Leon Thibodeaux, Oville Thibodeaux, Teresa Legier, Sadie Legier, Ophey Thibodeaux Sr, Valla Mae Lutz, and Joseph Miller. He leaves to cherish his memories to his loving children: Michael Thibodeaux and Fran, Karen Thibodeaux Miklas and George, Theodore "Ted" Thibodeaux and Monique, Benay Thibodeaux Thomas and Leroy, Darryle Thibodeaux and Linda, Dona Thibodeaux Bourque and Blake, Jason Thibodeaux and Rachael, Jonathan Thibodeaux: sister, Juneest Hendricks Cox, and brother, Theophile Thibodeaux and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. The memorial service will be at Fordoche Baptist Church, Fordoche, La on June 16, 2018. Visitation is at 11:00 am with the service being held at 1:00 pm. Burial at 5:00 pm at St John Berchmans Catholic Church, Cankton LA. Special thanks to Kenneth Weekley, Rose Meegan, Sandra and Tony for the many times they checked up on Geno for the family. Geno fought the good fight of 12 rounds, a "pier sixer".
