Virginia Floyd Wilson born October 12, 1927 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana passed away May 12, 2018 in Mancos, Colorado at the age of 90. She is survived by a daughter and husband; Georgette Wilson Welage (Harold) of Mancos, CO., two sons and wives; Michael Bruce Wilson (Toni) of Prairieville, LA., John Gregory Wilson (Mayumi) of Tokyo, Japan; Grandchildren; Melissa Welage Johnson of Colorado Springs, CO., Brandon Wilson of Baton Rouge, LA., Samantha Welage Jordan of Colorado Springs, CO., Heather Wilson Dickey of Baton Rouge, LA., Harold Welage III of Grand Junction, CO., Jason Travis Wilson of Pride, LA., Hana Hirukawa Wilson of Tokyo, Japan and twelve great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; Emile V. Wilson, parents; Preston M. Floyd Jr. and Georgia Croswell Floyd, sisters; Marion Floyd Flowers and Mildred Floyd Guynes, brother; Preston M. Floyd III. She proudly served many years as a Sunday school teacher at Central Church of Christ in Baton Rouge. Jen was a loving and devoted daughter, sister, wife, mom, grandmother and great-grandmother and friend "who never met a stranger". She was beloved by all who knew her for her unwavering kindness. There will be an 11:00am graveside service Friday, May 18, 2018 at Roselawn Memorial Park 4045 North Street, Baton Rouge, LA.
