I worked at Arthur Andersen in the 1990s. Wardell always had a kind word for everyone, and his faith was evident in everything he did. My condolences to his family.

I worked at Arthur Andersen right out of college (1993-1995) and remembered him immediately when I received an email from our alumni group informing me of his passing. They say that you always remember how someone makes you feel; Wardell made me feel peaceful and complete. Rest in Peace, Brother Wardell.

Mr. Wardell provided consistent words of encouragement to me when I began my career at Arthur Andersen in 1995. I would visit him at the office most mornings prior to starting my work routine. When the situation was great, he made it better. When obstacles existed, he provided the type of encouragement that allowed me to quickly adjust to the environment. He would always tell me that I was there for a reason and it was up to me fulfill that reason; so 'See it Through'.

'But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words.'
1 Thessalonians 4:13-18

My prayers & sympathy are with the family. Although I have not seen WD for a long time, I remember the days when he lived “ back a the tracks” in Kenner. We played sports together & joked around a lot. He always had a smile and would keep u laughing. May the fond memories of him comfort all now & in the future.

Wardell wanted to learn to dance so he could dance at his daughter’s wedding. It was an honor to teach him. He will be missed.

My Condolences to Valerie, Racheal, Crystal, and grandkids. I will miss you my brother. Very sorry Covid-19 kept us all apart. You were a strong man of God! I never will forget spiritual words you gave me that I will always cherish: Romans 12:2, Do not be conformed of this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind. So you may prove what is good and acceptable. Every time I read that scripture I hear you voice. And you were right all the answers are in Gods word. Go make a room for us in our Father's mansion. God Bless!
