William Alexander 'W. A.' Corkern Jr., a resident of Central passed away on February 11, 2020 at the age of 79. He is preceded in death by his parents W. A. "Alex" & Theresa Corkern. W. A. is survived by one brother and sister in law, Barry & Ann Corkern. "Uncle" is also survived by nephew Jud & Kris Corkern, step niece and nephew Stacy K. & Paul Alonzo and Dub & Cyndi Kalencki; great nieces and nephew, Lexie, Taylee & Zeb Corkern, and Jordan K. Zachary. Visitation will be Friday, February 14th at Zoar Baptist Church in Central from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 12 noon. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jud & Zeb Corkern, Dub Kalencki, Galen Vaccaro, Gabe Soileau, and Lee Thomas Zachary. Honorary pallbearers are Roy Stewart, Danny Kimble, and Billy Bob Hunt. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Zoar Baptist Church, St. Joseph Hospice, and The Carpenter House. Blue jeans and blue shirts are welcome in special recognition of W. A. The family would like to thank special friends Kaye, Thelda, Lori, and Bonnie. Renaissance Service, Gonzales is in charge of arrangements.

There are a few things I'll remember about W A, but the most is his starched blue jeans and blue jean shirt. Always neat as a pen.
