William "Skip"Jennings Cleveland III, age 67, of Donaldsonville, Louisiana passed away on Tuesday, October 12, 2021. He was a loving son, husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. Skip had a passion for his family, especially his grandchildren. He enjoyed traveling in the camper, being retired, and living life to the fullest. Skip was an active Masonic Member, where he served as Past High Priest, Past Illustrious Master, and Past Worshipful Master. He belonged to Ascension Lodge No. 251; Ascension Chapter No. 49 and Washington 5 Chapter No. 57; Carle L. Jackson Council No. 56 and Baton Rouge 11 Council No. 22; and Plains Commandery No. 11 and a member of UA Local 198 for twenty one years. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife of twenty six years, Andrea "Andi" Willis Cleveland; four children, Kelly Bevens (Allen), Christine Cleveland, Sarah Hicks (AJ), and William "Scooter" Cleveland IV; six grandchildren, Jared and Jenna Bevens, Luci and JJ Hicks, Kaitlyn and Luke Jennings Cleveland; mother, Jean Cleveland; three siblings, Steven Cleveland (Stacy), Mark Cleveland (Cindy), and Margaret De Alcuaz (Luis); mother-in-law, Milda "Blue" Sotile and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. He is preceded in death by his son, Garrick Cleveland; his father, William J. Cleveland Jr. and his in laws, Anthony Sotile Jr. and Mildred "Black" Burleigh. A memorial will be held on Friday, October 22, 2021 from 10 am until Masonic service at 2 pm with a prayer service to follow led by Deacon G. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to runningforrachael.org or the American Cancer Society. Skipper was a friend of mine, attended the same school & also grew up in a near by neighborhood.
I have great memories of Skipper being so kind, friendly & always with a smile upon his face.
Skipper will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing.
