Yolanda Moore Anderson, age 70, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 4, 2018, at Our Lady of the Lake Hospital in Baton Rouge. She was born May 20, 1948, in Cheneyville, Louisiana, to Ethel Mae and Monestor Moore. She was a 1968 graduate of Scotlandville High School. She married Albert Anderson on September 25, 1995, in Baton Rouge. She worked at Piccadilly for 20 years & retired from Women's Hospital, displaying a wonderful love for taking care of people. Yolanda truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures; cooking & baking for family, dancing, crafting jewelry, and attending her church of 30 years. Yolanda took pride in bringing people together over a delicious meal. She is survived by her son, Hyma (Nancy) Moore, Sr.; her daughter, Deniku Abbott; grandson, Hyma Jr.; granddaughters Breante Moore & Cardanius Matthews; three brothers & three sisters. Funeral services will be held at Donaldson Chapel Baptist Church, 2501 Gracie St., Baton Rouge at 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 11, 2018.
