Yvonne Rainey Head, a native of Oklahoma and a resident of Baton Rouge, passed away on Thursday, July 12, 2018 at the age of 90. Yvonne loved cooking for family and enjoyed beating her family in card games. She was an avid reader who loved reading to her grandchildren. Yvonne was a faithful member of Florida Boulevard Baptist Church and loved her church family and friends. She is survived by children James David Head and wife Jeanette of Knoxville, TN ; Cathy Aucoin and husband Cliff of Baton Rouge, LA; Linda Bonham and husband Jim of Baton Rouge, LA; grandchildren Valerie Coates (husband Todd), Allen "Trey" Ducote (wife Jody), Cathryn Smith (husband Allan), James Bonham (wife Laura), Christian de Tarnowsky, Jennifer Dallaire (husband John), Kelly Gross (husband Steve), Angela Hebert (husband Chad), Kimberly Montiro (husband Sid), Matthew Simmons, Samantha Pierce (husband Kyle), Shannon Duncan (husband Jason), and Jonathan Simmons; 13 Great-grandchildren; Sister Aletha Groom of Muskogee, OK; Brother Olen Rainey of Broken Arrow, OK; and Son-In-Law Al Ducote of Baltimore, MD. Preceded in death by her husband James Melvin Head, Parents Benjamin and Rose Reeves Rainey, Son Dr. Kenneth Head, Daughter Carol Ducote, Great Grandchild Connor Scott, Sister Alene Lawson, and Brothers J.B. Rainey and John Rainey. Relatives and Friends of the Family are invited to attend the visitation at Rabenhorst East, 11000 Florida Blvd., Baton Rouge, LA on Monday, July 16, 2018 from 9AM until 11AM. A funeral service will be held in the chapel at 11AM officiated by Rev. Joey Beeson . Interment at Resthaven Gardens to follow.
