She passed at 3:05 a.m. Friday, May 9, 2014, at Baton Rouge General Mid-city. She was 79. She was born in Woodville, Miss., and was a resident of Baton Rouge. She was a retired caregiver. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 14, 2014, at Full Gospel United Pentecostal Church, with visiting from 8:30 a.m. Pastor Ryan V. Allmon Sr. will conduct. Interment will be at Thomas Chapel Cemetery.

To God be the Glory for the things he had done.Sister Barnes was a truly servant to God and her church .I knew Sister Barnes from the Park to Mickens RD.Famiy count it all joy!!!God knew what he was during when he called her home
