Franklin "Frankie" Babin, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend, passed away with his family by his side on Tuesday, March 30, 2021 at the age of 75. He was a lead mechanic at Transport Services in Plaquemine; resident of Bayou Pigeon and native of Plaquemine, LA. Visiting will be at Wilbert Funeral Home, Plaquemine on Wednesday, April 7, 2021 from 10 am to 1:30 pm with Mass of Christian Burial at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church at 2 pm. Interment will follow at Grace Memorial Park, Plaquemine. He is survived by his wife, Marian Babin; children, Kristy Babin-Bonnette and husband Anthony, Kevin Babin and wife Amy, and Kenneth Babin; step children, Travis Leonard and wife Danielle, and Toby Leonard and wife Vicki; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; siblings, Shirley, Delores and J.A.; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents, Joseph and Annie Pollet Babin; great grandson, Baby Brantley; sisters, Joann and Catherine; mother-in-law, Delta Marie Coupel; and father in law, Edmond Coupel. Pallbearers will be Kevin and Kenneth Babin, Travis, Toby and Cody Leonard, and Blake Devillier. Honorary pallbearers Mason Leonard. Frankie was a family man who took care of his family until the end. Special thanks to his sister in law, Louanna Benoit for her loving care and devotion during our time of need.
