Douglas Courreges Obituary

A former resident of St. Amant, he died Friday, Jan. 11, 2008, in Oklahoma. He last resided in Englewood, Kan. He was 53, born Aug. 5, 1954. He was a former owner of Louisiana Prime Electrical Supply in Gonzales in the 1990s and made many good friends through the business. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He is survived by four daughters, Lisa Marie Gradney, Kimberly Dawn Williams, Tara Suzette and Piper Rose; six sons, Douglas Wayne, Ryan Patrick, Tyson Ray, Spencer Seth, Colton Gilbert and Hunter Elliott; a sister, Suzette Wright; two brothers, Wayne Allen Jr. and Daniel Ray; his parents, Wayne Allen Sr. and Lenora Faye Gilbert Courreges; and seven grandchildren, Paisley Adele Courreges, Rhagen Hailey Courreges, Jack Ryan Courreges, Sadie Elizabeth Gradney, Dominic Edward Gradney, Chandler Ray Courreges and Kaelyn Layne Williams. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Herman Graves and Mary Lucy Gilbert; and paternal grandparents, Felix and Ellen Kay Steele Courreges. Graveside service at Leona Chapel Cemetery, Uvalde, on Saturday, Jan. 19, at 2 p.m., conducted by Robert Roland, branch president, Uvalde, Texas Branch, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was deeply loved and will be greatly missed.
