A resident and native of Plaquemine, she passed away peacefully Friday, Oct. 17, 2008, at age 85. Visiting at Wilbert Funeral Home, Plaquemine, on Monday, Oct. 20, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Tuesday, Oct. 21, from 8 a.m. until religious service at 10 a.m. Interment in Grace Memorial Park, Plaquemine. She is survived by a son, Carl and wife Melissa Ferguson; a daughter, Marla Ferguson; two grandchildren, Beau Ferguson and Mindy Traylor and husband Jazz; a great-grandchild, Sadie Traylor; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, H.W. Ferguson; parents, brothers and a sister. Special thanks to the staff of La Maison Leisure Living for treating our mother as family. Special thanks also to St. Joseph Hospice. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Alzheimer's Services, 3772 North Blvd., Baton Rouge, LA 70806-3822.
