A resident of Woodville, Miss., she died Thursday, June 25, 2009, at Baptist Medical Center, Jackson, Miss. She was 75. Visiting at Rollins Funeral Home, Woodville, on Friday, July 3, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Religious service at Evening Star Missionary Baptist Church, Woodville, on Saturday at 11 a.m., conducted by Luther Bonds, pastor. Interment in Embrew Cemetery. Survivors include a daughter, Pearl and husband Joseph Darby, of New Orleans; six sons, Henry Jones Jr. and wife Ivy, and Alonzo Dennis and wife Daisy, all of Baton Rouge, Eddie Dennis and wife Viola, Gregory Harrison and wife Laverne, Cardell Harrison and wife Penny, and Darius Harrison, all of Woodville; brother, Eddie D. Evans, of Baton Rouge; sister, Stella Mae Walker, of Baton Rouge; two devoted cousins, Warnedia Davis and Myrtis Ann Woodside; 16 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Harrison; parents, Henry and Pearl Evans; and grandson, Gregory Harrison Jr.
