A dietitian and a resident of Baton Rouge, she died Sunday, Dec. 13, 2009, at Ochsner Medical Center. She was 86 and a native of New Orleans. Visiting at Winnfield Funeral Home on Saturday, Dec. 19, from 8:30 a.m. until service at 1 p.m. Interment in Winnfield Memorial Park. Survived by daughters Marceline Shropshire and Gloria Cage, both of Baton Rouge; a son, Lemuel Cage Jr., of Baton Rouge; grandchildren, Johnny and wife Deirdre Shropshire, of Baton Rouge, and Lorie Cage, of New Orleans; and great-grandchildren, Brandon Governor, Brittney Shropshire and Brandy Shropshire. Preceded in death by her husband, Lemuel Cage Sr.; three brothers and two sisters.
