A resident of Denham Springs, she passed away Saturday, May 29, 2010, at Ochsner Medical Center of Baton Rouge. She was 85 and a native of Baton Rouge. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and the rock of her family. She was also a devout Christian, Sunday school nursery department secretary for 58 years and coordinator of the day trips for senior adults for 18 years at Amite Baptist Church. She retired from the Louisiana Insurance Rating Commission as a claims examiner in the fleet department with 25 years of service. She will be truly missed by all who knew her. Visitation at Seale Funeral Home, Denham Springs, Tuesday, June 1, was from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Visitation at Amite Baptist Church, Denham Springs, Wednesday, June 2, from 11 a.m. until funeral service at 2 p.m., conducted by Dr. Terry Booth. Burial in Amite Baptist Church Cemetery. Survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Mary Elizabeth Cupit, and Gayle Booth Mitchell and Kenneth Mitchell; grandchildren, Ashley Andrews and husband Billy, Kenneth "Rusty" Mitchell Jr., Keith "Richard" Mitchell, Kevin Mitchell, and Kayla Woodruff and husband Murphy Jr.; and great-grandchildren, Miranda Mitchell, Reneé Bankston, Austin Andrews, Makaylyn Woodruff and Madden Avant. Preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Gaylon Booth; parents, Joseph R. and Sarah E. Impson; brother, Morris Impson; and special aunt and uncle, Effie and Vennie Impson.
