A resident and native of Carville, he departed his earthly life at 12:45 p.m. at LSU Earl K. Long Medical Center. Visitation was at Hambrick's Mortuary in Gonzales on Wednesday, Dec. 29, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Visitation resumes at Mount Bethel Baptist Church in Carville on Thursday, Dec. 30, from 9 a.m. until religious service at 11 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Alfred Thomas. He leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Ethel Mae Videau; his wife, Carolyn Videau, of St. Gabriel; two daughters, Charonda Videau, of St. Gabriel and Quanika Videau, of Prairieville; two sons, Tarrance Wilson and Ronald Videau Jr., both of St. Gabriel; seven granddaughters, six grandsons; a godson, James Sterling; a goddaughter, Bridgette Videau; four sisters, Janice and husband Joseph BoBo Sr., of St. Gabriel, Tracy and husband Paul Dunbar, of Baton Rouge, Maranda and husband Andre Andrew, of St. Gabriel and Andria Richonson, of Franklinton; two brothers, Lloyd Sr. and wife Keisha Videau, of Baton Rouge and Tommie Sr. and wife Glendella Videau, of St. Gabriel; a devoted friend, Regina Tucker; and a special friend was with him until he departed his life, Betty Emerson. He is also survived by several other loving and devoted friends, a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends; and three children whom he helped rear, Cardell Haynes, Taylar Emerson and Leonard C. Videau. He was preceded in death by his father, L.C. Videau; two brothers, Charles and Alvin Videau; two sisters, Linda and Debra Videau; and a nephew, Leonard C. "Peedie" Videau.
