Obituary

A ceremony celebrating the life of Mr. Mark Chavers will be held at 11 am on Friday at Christ's Community Church 26574 Juban Road Denham Springs; visitation will begin at 9 am until time of the service. Interment will follow at Revival Temple Cemetery under the direction of Church Funeral Services of Livingston Parish. Officiating the service will be Rev. Donald Washington and Rev. Willis Easley. Mr. Chavers was born on February 28, 1961 in Baton Rouge and passed from this life on August 12, 2015 in Walker at the age of 54 years. He was the owner of a Prison Maintenance Repair Company; he will be remembered for his compassionate heart and gift of giving, and especially for his unique and intriguing character. He enjoyed gardening, cooking, fishing and hunting. He had a passion for time spent with his family and loved having conversations. He is preceded in death by his parents Joseph Ransdell Chavers and Virginia Dare Jones Chavers. Survivors include his daughters Heather and Stephen James, Christie and Timothy Kinchen; sisters Margaret C. and Maurice Robin, Virginia and Gordon Landry; brothers David Paul Chavers, Timothy Ransdell and Debbie Chavers; also survived by grandchildren Stephen, Jaden, Hudson and Kolsen; and his canine companion "Henry".
