Arthur G. Devall, a loving husband, father, and grandfather, passed away at his home on Tuesday, September 19, 2017 at the age of 86. He proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Arthur is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Bennie Lou Devall; children, Gordon Devall and wife Kathy, and Duane Devall and his wife Nicole; grandchildren, Vincent Devall and Stacey Devall; brothers, Floyd Devall and Melvin Devall. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Hattie Devall; siblings, Myrtle Browning, Vernon, Eugene, Julius, Clifford, L.E., Virgil, and Stanley Devall. Visitation will be held at Blackwater United Methodist Church on Thursday, September 21, 2017 from 9 a.m. until Funeral Service at 11 a.m. Pallbearers will be Vincent Devall, Gary Devall, Garrett Ryles, Mark Chambliss, Richard Dotts, and Ray Devall. Honorary pallbearers will be Jerry Devall and Dennis Browning. Interment will follow on the grounds of Blackwater United Methodist Cemetery.

Mrs. Bennie Lou, I'm so very sorry to read of the passing of Mr. Arthur. I'm sending you all, much love and continued prayers as you go through this season of loss. Mr. Arthur was a wonderful man and a true friend to my Dad. I have fond memories living across the street from you all. As you reflect on your many and incredible times shared, my prayer is they shed light on your darkest moments. Much love to you and your family.

I'm so sorry to hear of your husband's passing. You may not remember me. However, I have fond memories of working with you at the Department of Revenue and Taxation.
