John 3:16-17 For God so loved the world that He gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God sent not his son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through Him might be saved. A loving son, brother, grandson, nephew and friend, Sean Michael Bennett, a native of Baton Rouge, passed from this life to the next on March 12, 2020 at OLOL Hospital in Baton Rouge, La. Sean was the light of our lives. He had a steadfast devotion to family. His fun-loving, friendly, outgoing nature made him a joy to be around. He was a multisport athlete who also enjoyed fishing. Sean's faith in Christ, which began at an early age, was evidenced by his love for other people and his genuine compassion towards those in need, even to the saving of two lives through organ donation at the end of his life's journey. He will be deeply missed. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his father, William Bennett; brother, Kristopher Blake Bennett; sister, Alexi Singer; paternal grandparents, Beverly Rachal, Robert and Brenda Bennett; maternal grandparents, Robin Denham and Robert Patton. He was predeceased by his mother, Amy Lynn Patton. Due to current events, a private visitation and funeral service conducted by Pastor Charlie McCants were held at Seale Funeral Home in Denham Springs, Louisiana on March 19, 2020 followed by interment at Evergreen Memorial Park. I'd like the memory of me to be a happy one. I'd like to leave an afterglow of smiles when life is done. I'd like to leave an echo whispering softly down the ways, Of happy times and laughing times and bright and sunny days.

Was thinking about the several trips made with Sean to New England during this exact time of year. I can still see him admiring the beautiful fall foliage, looking down on quaint villages from atop high mountains, looking out at the ocean and many lakes, and skipping stones across calm streams. I haven't the words for how much I miss him. Only tears.

I did not have the pleasure of meeting Sean Michael but in talking with his grandfather, Robert Patton, I now know he was an incredible young man. His selfless decision to be an organ speaks very highly of him. He truly is a hero.

Sean was a gift from God. From the day he was born, he enriched our lives in countless and wonderful ways. Sean had a unique combination of genius, quick wit, sense of humor, sweetness, and empathy that made him a joy to be around. He was the apple of my eye. Sean taught me more in the last days of his life than I had gleaned in all my prior years. The tears fall freely as I grieve the loss of him. The essence of Sean still lingers gently down the way. What I'd give to hug him one more time.

Sean, my whole family and I were so sad to hear about your passing. I will always regret that our friendship wasn't as strong as it used to be these past few years, but you have always remained someone special in my life. We are all going to miss you so very much and I hope and pray that you are with your mom again. Love you man

Sean, it's been hard to know how to say goodbye to you. Though I know you have gone to be with your Mom in a happier place, the hole left behind in our lives is immense. You are greatly loved and always have been. We miss you.

Ahhhh Sean.... so many memories! You fit right in with our big crowd. Your incredibly quick wit, matched by your tender heart and love of family made you like a son to me and Mr. Mark and brother to the kids. My goodness yall even fought like siblings! Saying that youll be deeply missed by us all is an understatement. It was a blessing having you in our lives. You will not be forgotten.

You will always be the only little brother that I've ever had. You looked up to me so much, but the truth is I actually looked up to you, whether it was you being the Valedictorian of your High School or your quick wit or you ability to play a video game and instantly be better at it than me.
Im going to miss you more than you'll ever know and i'd give anything to let you know that in person right now. I wish i'd have another call from you to meet at Walkons for an LSU game. Love you always.

Your cousin, no, your brother..
