LeBlanc, Leon Joseph "Smoke" Retired from Boilermakers Local 582, he died Friday, Jan. 26, 2007, at Head of Island. He was 78 and a lifelong resident of Sorrento. Visiting at Sorrento Baptist Church, Sorrento, on Monday, Jan. 29, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. and on Tuesday from 8 a.m. until religious service at 10 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Eugene Gullett. Interment in Hope Haven Cemetery, Gonzales. He is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Cynthia and Avery Cornett Jr., Head of Island, and Patti and Glenn Moran, Gonzales; son and daughter-in-law, Leon Michael and Loyce LeBlanc, Sorrento; sister, Irma Borne, St. Amant; brother, Noble LeBlanc, New Orleans; six grandchildren, Avery III and Shane Cornett, Casey and Holly Moran, and Lee and Le Ann LeBlanc; three granddaughters-in-law, Kimberly Threeton Cornett, Angelia McMorris Cornett and Wendy Vidrine Moran; and four great-grandchildren, Blake, Courtney, Austin and Kathryn Cornett. Preceded in death by his loving wife, Yula Mary LeBlanc; parents, Joseph and Bernice Lambert LeBlanc; and sisters, Leona Walker, Carol Simoneaux and JoAnn Acosta. Pallbearers will be Avery III and Shane Cornett, Casey Moran, Carlton LeBlanc, Mark Acosta and Lee LeBlanc. Arrangements by Ourso Funeral Home, Gonzales.
