Kelvin "Jessie Blue" Douglas Walker entered into eternal rest at University Medical Center on Sunday, March 28, 2021 at the age of 64. He was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Harvey, LA. He was a graduate of O. Perry Walker High School. Kelvin was a retired cook of Art Catering. He was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church. Beloved son of the late Eddie Rice, Jr. and Lucille Walker Rice. Loving brother of John (Zarul) Walker, Marva Walton, Walda (Charles) Jackson, Carlette (Haywood) St. Cyr, Shannon Jasper, Kesia Walker, and the late Willie Anna Curtis, Patricia Ann Johnson, Barbara Jean Harris, and Sonja Walker. Jessie Blue, as he was affectionately known to family and friends, is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Asbury United Methodist Church are invited to attend the homegoing Celebration at Davis Mortuary Service, 6820 Westbank Expressway, Marrero, LA on Friday, April 9, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. until service time at the above named parlor.
