Allyson Anderson McKay Kelly was born on February 22, 1952. At age 69 she passed from this earth on September 21, 2021. She was the daughter of the late Paul H. Anderson and Frances B. McInnis Anderson Fish. She is survived by her husband of 29 years Ernest J Kelly, daughter Paige McKay Smith, grandson Conrad Thomas Smith, and stepdaughter Rebecca J Kelly. She was a loving sister to Adrian A. Hensley, Amy A. Fishburn, Paul S."Lock" Anderson and John B. Anderson. She leaves behind many beloved nieces and nephews. Her school years were spent in Baton Rouge through high school at Baton Rouge High (Class of 1970) and attendance at LSU. In addition, she attended the Atlanta School of Art. She was first married to William Conrad McKay from 1973-1981. During that period of time, she worked in the family business, General Paper Company, Inc. assuming full responsibility as Vice-President and General Manager. After leading the company successfully for 15 years, she married Ernest J. Kelly and moved out of Louisiana. Her following 25 year career encompassed establishment of a manufacturing rep agency, working for a major international manufacturing company as southern sales manager for the USA, and launching ownership in several retail tax service locations in North Carolina. During her storied career she received many accolades, awards, and recognition in the respective industries in which she worked. Upon retirement, she and her husband moved back to the Baton Rouge area of Louisiana to take care and handle family matters. She fought bravely for several years before succumbing to cancer. She is now at peace and her spirit is with those who welcome her back home. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 9, 2021 at 10am at Greenoaks Memorial Park.
