James Alvin Freeman passed away to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on August 16, 2021. He was born on September 11, 1942, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, the only child of Ruby and James Freeman. Alvin graduated from Baton Rouge High School and studied Chemistry at LSU. He worked at Juban Lumber Co. and Borden Chemical Co. He was a member of Central Baptist Church. He moved to Denham Springs to be with his loving and devoted wife, Toni Griffith, in 2005. He is also survived by his close cousin, Michael Burch and his wife Linda. They were more like brothers than cousins and enjoyed watching LSU football together. He is survived by many family members and friends. Alvin was loved and appreciated for his kindness and generosity to many people. A memorial service will be held on Thursday January 13th at Central Baptist Church at in Baton Rouge, conducted by Reverend Allen Bartlett. Visitation will start at 10 with services starting at 11 am.
