Cecil "Kit" Duncan, a resident of Baton Rouge, died on Thursday, Sept. 30, 2021. He was 79 years old and a well-known local musician. Visitation will be at Charlet Funeral Home, Inc. in Zachary on Wednesday, Oct. 6, 2021 from 5 pm until 8 pm. Visitation continues on Thursday, Oct. 7, 2021 at Charlet Funeral Home, Inc. in Zachary from 8 am until service at 10 am conducted by Pastor James Hartman. Burial will be in Louisiana National Cemetery, Zachary. "Kit" is survived by his children, Eddie Duncan and wife, Celeste and Shanah Duncan. 3 grandchildren, James Edward Duncan, Jayson Freemyer and Aries Duncan. A great-grandson, Stefan Duncan. Siblings, Melville Duncan and wife, Barbara and Shannon Sandifer and husband, Matt Turner. He is preceded in death by his mother, Helen Sandifer. Pallbearers will be Darryl Bonanno, Butch Turner, Bill Turner, Alvin Woolfolk III, Solon Starr and Ja'Quan Collins. Donations may be made to defray funeral expenses.
