Dale Michael Mayeaux, loving father, grandfather, son and brother, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, December 30, 2015, in Torbert, Louisiana. Raised in Marksville, he surrounded himself with friends he grew up with and met along the way. A Vietnam veteran, the 68-year old retired from Entergy Gulf States and for the past ten years, he filled his time with hobbies he enjoyed - working on old trucks, hunting, and being with his family and friends. He recently completed a restoration on "Pop's Truck," his father's 1955 Chevy Cameo, and was looking forward to finishing the hunting season and teaching his grandson to hunt. Dale was a member of Ramblin' Oldies of Denham Springs and a founding member of the Classic Chevy Cameo & GMC Suburban Pickup Club. He was generous, patient and always willing to help a friend in need. He believed in going and doing while you could. He will be missed more than the words printed here can express. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Joyce Grogan Mayeaux; two daughters, Candace Mayeaux Tucker and son-in-law Chet, and Stacy Mayeaux Roberts and son-in-law Jerry; one sister, Sandra Mayeux Rea; and one grandson, Parker Roberts. He was preceded in death by his parents, Louden and Lorene Mayeux. In lieu of flowers please give to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the American Heart Association. Visiting will be held on Saturday January 2, 2016 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Lakeland, La. from 9 am until Mass of Christian Burial in the church at 11 am. Conducted by Rev. Todd Lloyd. Entombment to follow in the church mausoleum.

Joyce, we can't begin to know your pain,I know how hard it hit us,still numb.Dale was helping Jerry restore his 53 Bel-Aire, they were 95% thru with it, One thing for sure when Mr Dale said he'd be here at 8:00, he'd be outside the gate on time, I loved his "Hugs" & I always went to country store to get Him & Jerry a catfish dinner, Jerry's "Best Friend", worked 22 yrs with him, then helping each other with their passion of antique cars. Dale was coming back to finish "Lizzy" (53') after his surgery. It's ALL to Hard to take in! He's with his best friend Bruce now, I can't imagine what project they are working on in Heaven.Love you Dale....Jerry & Liz Peairs

May God give the Mayeaux family comfort and understanding during this difficult time. Dale was a true gentleman and friend. I had the pleasure of working with him for many years at Gulf States/Entergy. As he did with his restoration projects, he was very dedicated and always took his job very seriously. May he rest in PEACE!
