Daniel Lee Branch, age 60, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, December 5, 2020, just days after being diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia. Danny was born on January 27, 1960 in Alexandria, Louisiana, but resided in Walker, Louisiana with Cyndie, his wife of 39 years. He graduated from Glen Oaks High School in 1978 and was medically retired from Air Liquide. Danny has always felt his mission in life was to check on, pray for, and encourage others no matter the circumstance. Even after becoming a paraplegic in 2009, he has continued this calling between bouts of sickness. He might not have understood it, but this was his purpose. He believed in God first, Family second, Friends third, and then let the games begin. He loved playing, coaching, mentoring, supporting, cheering and Monday quarterbacking. He will be missed in the end zone and the bleachers. His family is saddened, but are rejoicing that he is whole again in Heaven. He will be missed by Cyndie, his two daughters and son-in-laws, Danielle and Chuck Taylor and Jennifer and Neil Kahn, and his son and daughter-in-law, Ben and Kylie Branch. He has three grandchildren Hayden, Carley and Jadyn, and another grandson, Beau, that will be here soon. Other immediate family that will dearly miss him are his dad, Rev. RC Branch, Jr., his sister Sallie Callais, and his brother and sister-in-law, Mark and Jamie Branch, as well as other family and uncountable friends, because he never knew a stranger. Already gone before him, just eight months ago, was his sweet mom, Lynda Branch. What a reunion they are having. Visitation will be Tuesday, December 8, 2020, 8am-10:00am and the service will be at 10:00am, led by Dr. Jason McNaughten. Details are being handled by Renaissance Services. He will be buried in the Sandy Creek Baptist Church Cemetery where he had numerous precious memories and life-long friends. The family sincerely thanks New Century Hospice for making him comfortable in the final days. You are amazing. We also thank ARC of Louisiana for providing funds so that he could have a personal aide. We can't begin to adequately thank his precious niece and aide, Kristin, who brought him to his appointments, helped him with building projects, took cooking lessons from him, and gardened with him. All the things he loved to do. There are so many others that have provided care for him such as Baton Rouge General Wound Care, his home health nurse Lucy, Vital Link Home Health, and Dr. Herschel Dean. We sincerely appreciate you.

I remember Danny from my days at Pride High School he was our football manager as a youth until he was old enough to play himself. He was younger than I, but great guy! Comes from a great Christian family and I know he was a believer in Christ. Praying for his family!
