Earl Wayne Milton, a resident of Baker, passed on to his heavenly home on Tuesday, January 11, 2022, at the age of 79. Wayne was a Navy Veteran, a Deacon at the First Baptist Church of Baker, and a longtime member of the Zachary Plains Masonic Lodge 135 and Baker Masonic Lodge 441, as well as a former member of the Baker Mounted Police. He was an electrician and member of IBEW Local Union 995 for more than 50 years. Wayne loved his family and friends. He loved life, he lived it to the fullest, always with a smile on his face and a story to be told. Wayne is survived by his loving wife of 10 years, Jackie McAllister Milton. His children, Chad Milton, daughter-in-law, Ritha, Chantel M. Turner, son-in-law, Steve and Melinda M. Bangs, son-in-law, Michael, and his stepchildren, Lisa McAllister, Paula and Gary Plaissance, Susan McAllister and Scott and Kim McAllister. Grandchildren, Heather and Brandon Butcher, Shelbi and Andrew Girlinghouse, Jacob Milton, Austin Milton, and Chase Turner. Great grandchildren, Gabriel Butcher, Jadyn Butcher and Grayson Milton. Along with numerous step grandchildren and great grandchildren. His sisters, LeJuene Riley, Nell Carraway and husband, Ferrell, and Marlowe Prinzing and husband, Jack. Wayne is preceded in death by his first love, his childhood sweetheart, Tanalyn Pique Milton, and a son, Shayne Bryan Milton. His parents, Herman Levi, Sr. and Oney Bernice Milton, and his brothers, Hermon Levi Milton Jr, and Hollis "Jack" Milton and Brother-in-Law, Jim Riley. Visitation will be at First Baptist Church in Baker, Friday, January 14, 2022, from 5pm to 8pm with Masonic Rights observed at 7pm. Visitation resumes on Saturday, January 15, 2022, at First Baptist Church in Baker, from 9am, until a religious service at 11am, officiated by Rev. Jay Avance. Graveside service and burial will be at Azalea Rest Cemetery, Zachary. Reception to follow at First Baptist Church in Baker. Pallbearers will be Jacob Milton, Austin Milton, Chase Turner, Andrew Girlinghouse, Cody Milton, and Logan Milton. Honorary Pallbearers will be Scott McAllister and Louis Kelly.
