Elizabeth "Betty" Pennella Krieger passed away peacefully on Oct. 30, 2021 after a brief illness, surrounded by her loving family, she entered into eternal life after living a full 89 years. A wonderful Bridge player and cook, she loved to travel, read, and spend time with family and friends. Betty never met a stranger, and her generosity will live on in her children, daughter and son-in-law, Susan (Krieger) and Harry Solis; son and daughter-in-law, Edward and Vickie (Vampran) Krieger; grandchildren, Matthew Krieger, Michelle and her wife Tara (Millburn) Krieger; and great-grandchildren, Ellie and Mikah. Born in Harrison, NJ and living all over the world, she settled in her beloved "Deep South". Preceded in death by her parents, Anthony and Margaret Pennella; and brother, Peter. A celebration of life will take place on Monday, November 29, 2021 at St. Thomas More Catholic Church. Visitation will begin at 10:00 am with a Funeral Mass at 11:00 am officiated by Father Yi. Arrangements by Resthaven Funeral Home, Baton Rouge. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Thomas More building fund or your favorite charity.

Much comforting vibrations and light to Betty's family. I will always remember her for she was a very kind and no-nonsense interesting soul . I truly was blessed to have met and shared conversations with her .
