Evans C. "PeeWee" Marchand
A retired civil service employee and resident of Denham Springs, he died Friday, July 15, 2011. He was 88 and a U.S. Army veteran. Visiting at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church on Tuesday, July 19, from 9 a.m. until religious service at 11 a.m. Interment in Courtney Cemetery, Holden. Survived by his daughter, Freida Elrod and husband William Samual Elrod; two grandsons, Sgt. Brandon Lovell and wife Brooke Lovell, and Curtis Lovell and wife Sarah Lovell; sisters, Wyona Falcon, of Houston, Natalie Desselle, of Ventress, and Dottie Engle and husband Dave Engle, of Baton Rouge; and eight great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his father, Joseph P. Marchand; mother, Nita Hernandez Marchand; wife, Allene Mack Marchand; son, Robert Evans Marchand; brother, Charles S. Marchand; and great-grandson, Bradley Lovell. Pallbearers will be William Elrod, Brandon Westine, David Mack, Gary Elrod, C.J. Marchand and Jeffery Hemphill.
