A native and resident of Donaldsonville. She passed away at 2:42 a.m., Friday, January 2, 2015 at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center in Baton Rouge. She was 86. Viewing at the funeral home on Friday, January 9, 2015 from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. and on Saturday, January 10, 2015 at Greater Mt. Pilgrim B.C., 926 St. Patrick Street, Donaldsonville, from 9:30 a.m. until religious services at 11:00 a.m. ONLY, conducted by the Rev. Timothy Campbell. Interment in Protestant Cemetery, Donaldsonville. Survived by her daughter, Cheralyn (Welmon) Comeaux. Sister, Lillian Brown. Sister in law, Florida Armstead. Brother in law, John (Brenda) Lawson, An Aunt, Mary Jones. Grandchildren, Welmon (Jennifer) Comeaux, III and Monisha (Terrance) Landry. Nine great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, godchildren, other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by her husband, Emmit Lawson, Her parents, Lawrence and Villian Dandridge Armstead.
