PRAYER FOR GRIEVING FAMILIES and FRIENDS: FATHER, thank YOU for another day. We know not what this day will bring but we know that YOU are in charge. FATHER, we know that as sure as we live we must die. Help us to live guided by YOUR word, prepare us for our date and ease the pain of our transition. YOU have all power in YOUR hands and we plead for YOUR grace and mercy. FATHER, give grace and mercy to bereaved families and friends. Heal the hurt in their hearts. Give them the strength to persevere and be their comfort in their hours of need. Turn them to YOUR light so that they may know that YOU will never leave them. Help them to live firmly planted in YOUR word. YOU are our light and salvation and we thank YOU in all things. All praise belongs to YOU. HALLELUJAH, HALLELUJAH, praise YOUR holy name. In the mighty name of JESUS, Amen.

Geri was my best friend. We did life together for the last seven years of her life. She was my prayer partner from the first day I walked into her life. She became a family member and was expected to be at all of our family gatherings. She was dearly loved.
